Synchronisation with outlook.com

Over the past weeks I have had problems with synchronization with outlook.com. I canot find my previous message.  I thought that after IOblt Defrag the problem was solved, but it is back.
 I have set outlook to forward to gmail as a temporary measure.

Hello Ewald, I’m not completely sure what you’re referring to as “previous messages” ,are you having issue with downloading the existing email from the server?

When the error occurs, can you please switch to the “Log” tab, copy the content of the log and submit it to us here on the forum?

What version of eM Client are you currently using on your computer, can you please check the exact release number in Help > About?

Are you using any security software on your computer at this point? If so, can you please try to temporarily disable these security elements and check if the issue persists?

I get the message that the outlook.com connection failed.
I posted the same question a couple of days ago but I thought the problem was fixed.
I did not keep copies. 
Where can I find the “Log” tab?
I am using eM Client version 6.0.22344.0
I am running Avast Internet Security.
The problems happens intermittently.

I have looked at some other possibilities. I have uninstalled the Windows 8.1 email program. I think it may have been interfering. e.g. it was synchronizing when eM Client tried to. So far so good. 

You can find the “Log” in Operations, the window that appears when an error is thrown.
Copy the content from the log if the issue reoccurs and submit it to us here for more information.

I’ve experienced similar problems, and discovered it’s due to Em Client automatically setting up the Outlook.com email using the older m.hotmail.com servers. They  now use pop3.live.com and smtp.live.com - I ended up having to delete my accounts and re-enter them manually to get everything to work right.

Hello eM Client is using the Airsync protocol to setup your account with all available services including calendar and contacts synchronisation, you can manually re-setup the account as POP3 or IMAP to synchronise your items with the server, however this will disable your ability to use the online calendar in eM Client - we’re however working on a new release that will improve this synchronisation.

That would be awesome if it actually worked. Unfortunately, for me to continue to be able to send and receive email I had to delete my account and start over with a manually added account with the proper servers used.

We’re working on improving this for future releases, glad it works now while using POP/IMAP.

Still not working… 7 months ago and I am still getting the same sync issues…

Hello JC,
AirSync will not work, because Microsoft no longer supports it. You need to set up your account again as IMAP to access your mail.
