Suggested enhancement: I would like the capability to define a shortcut key for updating and executing a rule. For example, I have a rule that moves email to my Coupons folder based on the From field. I would like to assign ctrl-alt-c to add the email address of the current email to the From field list of the rule, and them move the email to the Coupons folder. Otherwise, it takes a lot of keystrokes to do that.
I’m up for this idea. I find rule management to be a bit too involved as it takes a lot of navigation to get to the rule and even a shortcut to launch the rules dialog would be a big plus.
I would also like to see capability to set a keyboard shortcut for the “Rules” menu item.
Not really sure what the OP was asking for, but currently you can right-click on the sender’s address and choose Create Rule.
If you want to apply a Rule at a later time, you can right-click on the folder and choose Apply Rule. But it is not possible to add more shortcuts to the specially designed minimalist interface.
There is a main menu item called “Rules”. I would like to activate that menu item by pressing a keyboard shortcut. I would also like to be able to add that item to a toolbar. eM Client currently allows neither option.
You are correct.
