I am thinking of switching from Thunderbird to Em Client. Can I see how many read e-mails are in each folder and also the size of each folder?

The message count is displayed along the top of the title bar.
This shows that there are 5 unread conversations out of a total of 156.
Conversations are groups of messages, so to get the individual message count, right click on the folder and choose Properties.
Here you can see that the folder containing 156 conversations, actually contains 782 individual messages.
The size of the folder is not displayed.
