New eM Client.

I have just downloaded and installed the update to eM Client,and all the folders I have created to store important emails have dissappeared…I have used system restor to get the old vertion and folders back,but would like to know why this happened.

Hello Ken,

That sounds like you accidentally skipped the data migration from eM Client 6. This is needed because eM Client 7 has a new database structure. Even if you skip the automatic import wizard, you can import your data anytime using the File - Import - Import from eM Client 6 option.

I also just updated eM client and lost all my folders and email account. I did skip the eM client 6 migration. What should be the very next step(s) to retrieve all my data, including emails?

Could you please give us some more details? What happened when you did the Import? Did the program display any messages/errors? If it is so, could you please post a screenshot? Were only some of your folders imported or none at all? Have you checked all of the items to be imported?

I too lost everything when I upgraded to version 7. Cannot import old data as there is a space issue and a memory issue . I used a tech expert for a couple of hours - freed up hard drive space but he couldnt solve the memory issue so uninstalled the update reinstalled version 6 and got my emails etc back. How do I get support for this memory issue which also comes up when I try to backup Version 6 Col Shepperd
