In Thunderbird the last 5(?) folders to which I have moved e-mails are remembered.
There is even a special popup menu-item to move a selected e-mail to the most recently used folder. (= The folder to which I’ve moved the previous e-mail.)
This is a real time-saver, and it would be nice if eM Client would also have this option. Then I don’t need to scroll through a long list with folders in a popup window.
I’d love to see this feature as well – recently switched from Thunderbird and it’s the one thing I miss most. Would be nice to have a “Move to recent…” button on the toolbar that lists the last 20 folders used.
Hi, thank you for your suggestions, we’ll consider adding the feature to future releases of eM Client.
If you come across any other ideas or questions you’d like to ask us, let us know, we’ll be happy to help.
As well as Thunderbird, also MS Outlook offers this feature which I use very frequently at work and is a real time saver. I would love seeing eM Client catching up on this (and making the toolbar configurable!), please. Thanks.
Yes please! This is a real time saver! I’m slowly migrating to Em Client from Thunderbird and moving emails to recently used folders makes life so much easier.
Absolutely, really miss this feature when using em Client. In Thunderbird a right-click revealed the Move To {{last folder moved to}} and the Move To > Recent > {{recent moved to folders}}, it is an amazing time-saver.
I agree, it is ridiculous that this feature has not been implemented yet as this is THE feature used to sort all emails. One of the first goal if not THE first goal of a desktop email client is to be able to sort emails in folders, this represent 60% of the time spent on the application for somebody dealing with lots of emails. This feature should be P1.
Funny, just wanted to propose a similar thing, but way cooler: With IBM Notes (it still exists ) there is a feature called swiftfile:
If you’re looking for new features to implement, this would be the coolest.
SwiftFile is an intelligent assistant for IBM Notes that helps users organize their e-mail into folders. SwiftFile uses a text classifier to learn each user’s mail-filing habits. SwiftFile learns to predict the three folders into which the user is most likely to place each incoming message. The predictions are presented to the user as three shortcut buttons that allow the user to quickly file each message into one of the predicted folders. When one of SwiftFile’s predictions is correct, the effort required to file a message is reduced to a single button click.
This would really be a great addon for the emClient
