Currently when view mail folders, All Groups default to an expanded view. I constantly have to right-click to collapse them. Since this is a simple Boolean toggle, it would seem to be easy to add an option in General Settings to have the default mode settable as either Collapsed or Expanded.
I agree - I was just trying to find this myself - another option would be to simply have a Collapse All or Expand All button
