Hi all,

some GUI-suggestions:

  • show the number of selected Items (e.g. Mails…)
    I know, this has already been asked for by someone but I still think this is essential.

  • optionally offer a “normal” horizontal Menu - not just the cascading “menu” in the upper left corner…

  • in eMail-Editor: optional border for embedded Images to make them stand out which may make it easier for the reader to distinguish between written Text and embedded Images (e.g. Screenshots.)

  • Like Outlook eM Client tells me, if I already did answer to a Message (incl. Date and Time of the Answer…) but (also like Outlook) it does not offer a link to jump/show this already sent answer…
    I know about the (btw: great) “message history” on the left, but a button/link that automatically opens that History-View and highlights the related answer would be nice…
    (Info: I do not use the conversation-View…)

  • I think to remember that Lotus/IBM Notes hast such a thing like an indicator showing " new" unread messages. (? star and bold = new unread, bold = unread ?)
    -> an indicator to distinguish between unread and “new unread” would be great…
    (yes, I know its hard to define “new” in this case…)

ich glaube da kannst du viele Vorschläge machen. Die verhallen leider alle im Nirvana. Die Entwickler ziehen ihren Stiefel durch und kümmern sich leider ausschließlich um diese verd… Outlook/Hotmail und GMail Probleme, die jeden Tag aufs neue mutieren.

Ich habe ebenfalls schon eine Reihe von Ideen und Vebesserungsvorschlägen gemacht, bereits vor Jahren, genauso wie anderen User und alles was bisher umgesetzt wurde ist schlichtweg: NICHTS. Ich glaube die wollen einfach nicht und sind ohnehin notorisch unterbesetzt, wie auch hier im Hilfeforum.

Es sind oftmals nur Kleinigkeiten, die die Arbeit mit emClient erleichtern würden, aber selbst diese finden nicht Ihren Weg in eines der Releases.

Wenn nur Thunderbird einen bessere CalDav/CardDav Support hätte, dann würde ich sogar wieder zurückwechseln. Ich habe TB jahrelang genutzt bis ich mehrere Kalender einbinden wollte und dabei dieses Sogo Plugin benötigte. Das Hauptproblem waren die Anmeldeinformationen für unterschiedliche (lokale) Kalender. Ich verwende kein Gmail/Outlook oder Hotmail, sondern hoste alles lokal auf einer Synology NAS.
