Email not being marked as read (ver 7.0.x)

There is a bug with the (latest) version of eM Client where it doesn’t recognize a read email as read.

I have to manually mark as read on the actual email. This is on version 7.0.26482.0

what is the setting for makring messages as Read for you in Menu>Tools>Settings>Mail>Read? After displaying for X seconds and/or opening the message in separate window?
Do you have Conversations view enabled? Does this happen on single messages or with ones inside a conversation?
What mail account does this issue happen on?

I had it left at default at 5 sec; now I changed it to 0 seconds which works better for me. :slight_smile:

p.s. I suggest have the default set to either 0 or 1 as other ppl would probably think it is a bug as well.

(also on this forum is there a way to easily mark a question/issue as solved?)

thank you for your feedback, but this setting might cause issues since this would mark messages as read literally right after clicking them, which might be too fast for some users and messages could be marked as read on accident.
The option is there for those who prefer this option, but we have tested that this interval usually work the best.
