email account working, smtp imap working, email wont send

 I have set up an email account in the emclient. It passes tests for imap an smtp. It successfully sends a test message and I receive it. But, when I create a new email, it stays in the outbox of the local folder. Not sure why it isn’t in an outbox on my email account folder. But, I need to be able to send them one way or another.

If you disable your anti-virus/firewall application, can you send messages?

The diagnostics checks out SMTP and it works. It also sends a test message which I receive.

But, none of my outbound messages go out. they stay in the Local folders Box.

But, I am in my imap account when I make a new mail.

the firewall has no effect. as I said, the test message from emclient diagnostics is sent and received ok. But when i create a email and hit send, it does not get processed.

Are you absolutely certain you have completely disabled both the anti-virus and firewall?

Otherwise go to Menu > Tools > Operations and look for any SMTP errors in the Log tab.

Avast was off but defender was on. I reversed it and it looks like they may be going though now. I’ll let you know after a little activity.
