eM Client won't start this morning, 29th Feb. Leap Year Problem?

Can’t start eM Client this morning.

First part of error reads:
System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Year, Month, and Day parameters describe an un-representable DateTime.

Just wondering if it’s because it’s 29th February.

Doing a bit of trouble shooting here.  Found that if I re-set my system date to 28th Feb, eM Client will open normally. 

Have changed date back to 29th Feb and eM Client remains open.  Not sure if everything is working properly, but I have my fingers crossed.

I followed this and it worked for me… I changed system date to 28th, open the app, changed back to 29th. Now it won’t crash again when start.

I played a bit with the problem. So the workaround (only today) will be like this.

  1. shut down em client.
  2. Set system date to 28th February
    3.activate emclient and go to calender.
  3. set the view to agenda mode.
    5.shut down the em client again.
  4. Restore the system date to 29 again.

This method should work in most cases, but do not set the calender view to monthly or other view for today. Next day em client will be fine.

Thanks, Olivia, I looked further into my issue, and now I think Im not experiencing the same bug as described above. 
I have tried the work around described above, but it didnt work. 
Also I have a crash due to a timezone error, not due to the leap year thing. 
So I think it’s something different.

Perform the following steps.
Exit eM.
Set your system date to February 28.
Start eM.
GO to Calendar and select ANY view except Month view. I prefer Week view.
GO back to mail.
Exit eM.
Reset system date to February 29.
Start eM.
Everything should work but do NOT go to Month view. It will immediately experience an application error.
