Copy/Paste problems

Hi all,

There have been 2 changes to my system: had to change to Windows 8.1 and updated to 6.0.20154.0. I don’t know what the significant change is, however now I have problems with copy/paste:

1.- I can copy mail text to the clipboard.

2.- I cannot copy mail addresses (mouse pointer on mail Sender/Recipient, right button, Copy Address) to the clipboard

3.- I cannot paste from the clipboard to any field in the new mail window.

Regards.

Hi, what version of Internet Explorer are you using? Can you make sure it’s the latest available version?

Thank you,
Paul.

Thanks Paul.

I am using IE 11.0.9600.16521.

Regards

Hi All,

Fixed. It was an AntiVitrus checker problem. I use Webroot and it protects the clipboard contents. For some reason it had decided to block emClient access to the clipboard. Weird.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hi, no problem, I’m glad it works… hope it stays that way, but if you encounter any other issues or have any other questions regarding eM Client, let us know.

Thank you,
Paul.

Unfortunately I have the same problem with my System (Windows 8.1). I cannot copy any text out of the emClient.

This is the only problem I have with Webroot, but I think I’m going to go back to Kaspersky because of it.

If you are using Webroot, open “Webroot Secure Anywhere”, go to “Identity Protection”, click on the cog icon to open the configuration, click on “Application Protection”, go down the list of applications until you find “mailclient.exe” and set “Allow”. You should now be able to use the clipboard.

Hello Philipp, eM Client’s copy/paste features are controlled by Internet Explorer components as the application is built on top of it’s core features. If you’re not using webroot (as suggested below), please make sure you have the option “Allow programmatic clipboard access” set to enable in IE’s settings under IE > Internet Options > Security > Custom level, or adjust the setting.

Hope this helps,
