Connecting to XXX account failed

There are many posts about the error message but they are where either emails are either not getting sent of received. In this case emails are being received for the account and are being sent.
Also if I go to diagnostics the test works fine.
I have set up two accounts that are both on the same server and have the same settings. I have checked the two are identical.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can try next please?

Hmm! The solution appears to be to post the problem to this forum. Then go back to the app and it works fine! Best forum I’ve been to.

If the messages are being sent and received, then maybe it is an intermittent problem with the server.

You can turn the messages off in Menu > Tools > Settings > General > Operations Window > Show window when an error occurs.

I’m OK with turning off the message, more curiosity now so long as it continues working. My thinking is that against it being the server is the fact that a second account with all the same settings and on the same server is working just fine, no error message.
Is there anything else it could be in eM Client please?

The fix was to turn off my AV software. It wasn’t blocking access to the account but was blocking eM Client’s dialog to say the database was corrupt. With the AV software paused, the dialog appeared and fixed the corruption. Now working fine with the AV back on.
