Seems this is an issue in the last few releases that there are more new bugs introduced than old ones fixed.
Uninstall it. Then you can and download the previous version of eM Client from the Release History.
How can I save all my old stuff?
If you feel there is any risk, make a backup using Menu > File > Backup.
But that is not necessary. During the uninstall you will be asked if you want to delete the database directory. DON’T delete it, then all your settings and data will be there after installing the previous version.
