Can't retrieve emails from bellsouth.net

I’m not using IMAP. I’m using POP3. I’m trying to transition from LiveMail
to EM Client. Everything works fine with LiveMail.

With eM Client I have 2 email accounts, one works fine, but my bellsouth account can’t retrieve emails. My internet is with AT&T. Both my email account have to use bellsouth for sending emails and this works fine. I’ve tried checking and unchecking “use identity credentials” and tried the legacy ports on both POP3 and SMTP.

I’ve also have tried these settings:  inbound.att.net and outbound.att.net And also smtp.att.yahoo.com and pop.att.yahoo.com

These are my LiveMail settings which work fine.

POP3
inbound.att.net
outbound.att.net
[email protected]
login using clear text authorization
my server requires  authentication
Outgoing SMTP 465
Incoming POP3  995

I’ve tried the diagnostics in eM Client and searching this forum. Mo matter what I try it seems I get the same error message in the log.

1:29:55 AM [email protected] [POP3]  MailClient.Accounts.SocketException: Connection failed due to the following reason:
1:29:55 AM     “Unable to read data from the transport connection: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.”

I sure hope I can get this to work. I think eM Client will be an excellent replacement for LiveMail

Can you try

host: pop.mail.yahoo.com
port: 995
Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)

I tried these settings with identify credential checked and it didn’t’ work - same log message. Then I changed it to use these credentials and to my great surprise it did work. You’re the best, what a headache this was.
