ut oh... in moving files from +Gmail folders to +local folders

ut oh... in moving files from +Gmail folders to +local folders, all the content of the mail was lost (they still live on in 'all mail' is there some easy way to get them back? i give praise because i'm thankful, though this new little glitch has me abit nervous.
