Doesn't load.
Can't get the prgramme to load anymore. Runs in the background and a process but doesn't open any windows. Shame, because it looked good.

I get the "database check" dialogue box on restart, which shows no problems but again, no windows open. -

Quite interesting,.. We haven't experienced that kind of problem yet. Would you mind to create memory dump and send it to us so we can analyze the problem and fix it immediately? Automatic dump tool can be found on http://www.emclient.com/tools/emdump.exe

I had the same problem. The program hangs trying to synchronize with google calendar. I tried everything (even uninstalling and installing again). Nothing worked. It is a shame because I was looking for an Outlook replacement (didn't like Thunderbird 2 & 3) and have a lot of expectations for eM Client. (I am using Windows 7 and I was trying to sync with my gmail and my google calendars)

your antivirus may be blocking access. you may need to disable your antivirus from accessing em client

Elicia, trust me, I tried that. I've (temporarily) disabled both AV and firewall to try to get it to work. It's not an internet access problem, the programme just doesn't load correctly.

It does, Libor. I tried again, downloading the install file new after deleting all trace of the programme and cleaning the registry.

I've got the same problem, plus e-mail downloading problems where one time the "settings work" and yet other times the "settings don't" - not sure what the issue is - unfortunately, Outlook is beginning to look better and better. I guess there isn't a better mouse trap. Too bad the "best mouse trap" can only catch about 60% of the mice.

I have almost the same problem, but my problem is, it quit downloading my Yahoo email. It worked fine for a weak, but won't work now

I ran the database checker with comes up, takes a long time to scan but eventually gives 2 green ticks, I can see the mail client running in task Manager, my machine slows down but the client does not open? I tried to revert back to an older version - I installed 2.5.6862 over the current installation but then when I try to open my eM Client it gives an error of unable to open due to the files being created by a newer version or something along those lines, so I upgraded back to 2.5.6507 but then the same thing happens over where it check the database but doesn't open :-( I have approx 3GB in my mail_data.dat which are all very important emails, anyway of opening this in another type of email client i.e. Outlook?

I have a similar problem - The client simply does not open. It worked fine for a few days, but now I cannot get it to start at all. I click on the icon but nothing happens.

u have to remove all emc files from users folder on drive, program data depending on windows version you use. not that in program files folder, but in your user folder.

Hi there, I ́ve been experiencing some issues when someone sends me e-mails to my hotmail account, lately all mails for that account have been delaying for I don ́t know what reason and after several hours depending on the case they finally get in to my em-client inbox, is that temporary? how can I solve that? regards from buenos aires thanx!

we will need you to send us network communication logs: go to menu Tools->Settings->Logging and check Network communication. Then restart eM Client, try to simulate the issue (click Send and receive) and send us the logs using the same logging settings window. And please disclose link for this forum topic. -

Hi,
there are three things you can do to remedy this situation:
1) Update to the latest version available at http://www.emclient.com/dist/latest/s... and then go to Start -> Run and type the following:
"C:\Program Files\eM Client\DbRepair.exe" /checkall
or alternatively, if you use 64-bit system:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client\DbRepair.exe" /checkall
2) Download a tool from http://www.emclient.com/tools/DbRepai... and run it.
3) Delete the database files located in C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\eM Client (on Windows Vista/Windows 7) or C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Application Data\eM Client (on Windows XP). This will remove all settings though.

I have the same problem. This seems to be a big problem. Nothing launches. No process in the background.
I tried the memory dump tool. Message:
Memory dump not performed, because the process was not found. Ensure the application is running.
I also tried the database repair tool. Message:
DB Repair has stopped working. Windows can check online for a solution and close the program.
Please help!! -

Similar problem after using it for two days. It will only run once per boot. If I quit the program it will not load again.
Was just about to buy it but considering that I need to buy Office 2010 I'll probably just get a version with Outlook.- view 2 more comments

You probably don't need to reboot if you have more than one user set up just logging off and then back on should do it.

Same problem here.
emClient can only be startet one time. Even after a clean exit with File -> Exit the program can not be startet again. I found the process "MailClient.exe *32" still running within the taskmanager. After I killed this process the program could be started again. But the I got the database check at start. I also get the database check after every reboot.
I am using Windows 7 - 64bit and the latest Version of emClient 3.5.11809.0
I also use caldav and carddav sync with iCloud could that be the issue?

Since the last release update, I am having the same problem on both my office computer and my home computer. If I exit the program, I can't reopen it unless I reboot my computers.

So here we are in the New Year, 2012, but a permanent fix for this problem has not yet been released. When I was using your "free" license, I didn't mind having to put up with the occasional software bug. But now that I have the "paid" version, I would like to have software that works properly.
When do you expect to release a version that automatically closes "MailClient.exe*32" so that the program restarts properly without us having to use taskmanager to force it? -

I have installed this latest version on all 3 computers. It has finally fixed the problem. I can close and reopen eMClient without it getting hung up.
